NOTE: You will need access to System and Configuration to make changes. Your ISP or hardware company should be able to supply you with these settings

Go to System and Configuration

In the Configuration window choose Office tab and E-mail

Enter the details of the SMTP server, usernames and passwords that your provider has given you. Enter the Port number, SSL mode and tick the appropriate boxes if SSL and TLS are to be enabled

Save the record

Test the email is working by sending an email from some part of the system. The 'Test email settings' on this tab in certain circumstances will not properly send an email so it is better to do it from another part of the system
