Diary Groups are created from the Users menu and need Administrator access
Go to User and click on Add group in the Group membership area.
Choose a name and description
Add Users who you want to be members of the group. Others can be added at a later time from Users
Similarly users can be removed at any time by finding the user and ticking the appropriate box
